| The old machinery of Le Châtelard historical Funicular was in service from 1920 to 1995. The BBC-Motor on the right is the first one and allowed a speed of 75 cm per second (journey 35 minutes). The BBC-Motor on the left was put into service in 1953. It allowed an increase in the transport capacity of the Funicular for building the second CFF-SBB-dam which submerged the Alp of Vieux-Emosson (speed 1 m/s - journey 22 minutes). Both motors are asynchron and worked under alternative tension 3~ 500 V 50 Hz. | |||||||||||||
